  9.      giftoppm - convert a GIF file into a portable pixmap
  10.  
  11. SYNOPSIS
  12.      giftoppm [-verbose] [-comments] [-image _✓N] [_✓G_✓I_✓F_✓f_✓i_✓l_✓e]

  14. DESCRIPTION
  15.      Reads a GIF file for input, and outputs portable pixmap.
  16.  
  17. OPTIONS
  18.      -verbose
  19.           Produces verbose output about the GIF file input.
  20.  
  21.      -comments
  22.           Only outputs GIF89 comment fields.
  23.  
  24.      -image
  25.           Output the specified  gif  image  from  the  input  gif
  26.           archive (where _✓N is '1', '2', '20'...).  Normally there
  27.           is only one image per  file,  so  this  option  is  not
  28.           needed.

  30.      All flags can be abbreviated to their shortest  unique  pre-
  31.      fix.
  32.  
  33. BUGS
  34.      This does not correctly handle the Plain Text  Extension  of
  35.      the  GIF89  standard, since I did not have any example input
  36.      files containing them.
